The World Premier of

Cacophony

by Stephen Ulrich

Based on a little known Mark Twain poem entitled The War Prayer, PEACE... explores the may different perspectives and perceptions of war that impact our daily lives.

Set in a small town church, an evening memorial service for a fallen solderier turns into a point of departure in the life of his younger brother Alec, who is about to join the war effort.   In a world defined by war and terrorism, Alec must somehow reconcile his own beliefs with those of his mother, his minister, his brother's former boss and his community.  In the end, it is Liz, a homeless woman, who 'seemingly' stumbles into the evening's events and challenges all of their perceptions of reality when she confronts them with her 'message' and the unspoken part of their prayer for victory.
